Documents

At the heart of historical education and research is the study of sources. Texts, material objects, audiovisual recordings and other sources bear witness to the past. Their significance, however, is not self-evident. They are made to speak through our informed engagement with them, through our questions. In this section, we continuously provide important documents on the history of persecution and resistance of the Christian community of Jehovah’s Witnesses. A special focus is on the persecution of children and young people under National Socialism. Historical assessments and accompanying texts provide information on the contexts and significance of the documents.
